OUA: a wacky night for men’s hoops

A 70-point win, a team not named RMC scores 35 and Carleton falls. No word of a lie.

First up, Toronto layed a 106-34 beatdown on 0-18 RMC. I know they get crushed every game, but a 72-point win just has to stand out a little.

However, the Paladins may not have even been the worst Kingston team last night. Queen’s scored SEVEN POINTS in the second half on the way to a 63-35 loss to Ryerson. 35. And the worst part? They scored 18 in the first quarter. They led 18-13 after one and 28-27 at halftime. A 21% shooting clip will do that to you. I know bad games happen and some nights the ball just doesn’t want to go in, but man…

Finally, York beat Carleton. Yep, that York. That’s got to be the upset of the year and the win of the season for the Lions, who are out of the playoff picture at 4-13. Dejan Kravic was huge for York scoring 22 points and grabing 17 boards.
