So my time here is over, and despite my best attempts to keep my eyes on the road, part of me can’t help but look in the rearview at the epic car crash or the slutty teenage hitchhiker that I just drove by. My problem is, I can’t tell which it was. I do know, though, that it all started in the Opinions section for this guy. Call me a Jungian archetype, but I just can’t help but end it where I started.

And now, some parting observations; the opinion articles I didn’t have time for:

Arts doesn’t bring in money. You know this. Chances are, though, that if you’re reading this, it’s already too late. If you’re still not jaded, it’s never too late to transfer to a school with enough capital investment in the arts to be sure they won’t pull the rug out from under you. This school is a cancer for arts students.

The MSU is okay. It is democratic enough to warrant allegiance. The problem is when people see criticism on themselves or individual services, and take it (or present it) as an attack on the organization. These people exist in all democracies, and they must be identified and ridiculed, for there is no place for them in government. Politics and Government are two separate things.

Until this city and this campus stop seeing each other as unfortunate neighbors, the citizens and the students will continue to suffer, and the two will never reach their full potential.

A Liberal Arts degree prepares you for the decisions you will make in the last half of your career and says nothing about the first half. I can make decisions, analyze policy, and wax poetic, but I have no idea how to pay my taxes, file reports, or do basic clerical work. Every day I wish I went to college.

The likelihood of your willingness to consider a scientific study has less to do with the methods of research, and more to do with how its conclusions match your existing bias. If this were not true, Stats wouldn’t be a required course.

The older I get, the more fun diarrhea jokes become. Until I get diarrhea. Then they become hilarious and painful.

I know I am human because I steal from La Piazza on a regular basis, but never from Union Market

Detractors of the space program say that it’s not a legitimate expense given the problems on Earth. This is shortsighted. Endgame futurism holds that there re only two solutions for the continued survival of the human race: Draconian population control or extraterrestrial travel and colonization.

Justice is classical music with a bass drum patch and a high pass filter. That being said, it’s great.

Quarters’ best chance at improvement was last summer when they redid the Arts Quad. They could have converted it partially to a frosted glass floor/skylight and made it less of a dungeon. People don’t like eating in the dark. Architecture Fail

When you stop going to class, you forget that the majority of people on campus have some sort of demonstratable intelligence.

That is all. Good day.
