McMaster University scored in the A to B range in 17 categories presented in the Globe and Mail’s latest Canadian University Report, released earlier this week.

McMaster was ranked first in the ‘large school’ category in research opportunities (B), quality of teaching and learning (A-) and campus atmosphere (A).

The report placed McMaster at the bottom of the pack in the areas of information technology (13th place), city satisfaction (13th), co-op, internship and work-related opportunities (11th) and environmental commitment (9th).

Fourteen other universities were in McMaster's category, eight of which are in Ontario. Rankings were based on the Globe and Mail's annual student satisfaction survey. Schools were placed in four categories based on their size, ranging from large to very small.
