Flu-season strains Hamilton hospital capacity

Hamilton hospitals are currently experiencing issues related to over capacity. In an interview with Global News, Hamilton Health Sciences shared that rise in admissions had caused them to have to cancel some of their pre-scheduled care. Furthermore, they shared that the McMaster Children's Hospital reached 112 per cent capacity on Oct. 19, 2023.

HSR ceasing fare-free service for riders with disabilities

Beginning Jan. 1, 2024, personal mobility device users and individuals who are legally blind will be required to pay the standard price for Hamilton Street Railway bus services. This change comes with the implementation of HSR’s new Fare Assist program, which will allow individuals to receive discounts on bus fairs on the basis of household income.

Rowing team lands five medals following big playoff performance
